Kid Yugi, an Italian rapper from Puglia, was born in Massafra on April 14, 2001, under the name Francesco Stasi. After being part of the group Saints Mob, he released his first solo single âGrammelotâ in 2022 and signed with the label Thaurus Music. Several other tracks followed, including âSturm und Drangâ, âKing Learâ (featuring Sosa Priority), and âDEMâ (featuring Artie 5ive and Tony Boy), all of which are included on his debut album The Globe. Although it achieved a modest position on the Italian charts, debuting at No. 98 (and rising to No. 69 the following year), the concept albumânamed after Shakespeareâs London theaterâis, according to its creator, a glimpse into âstreet theaterâ in modern society. The year 2023, which kicked off with âMinacciaâ, saw the release of two EPs, EP 5/3 and Quarto di bue, produced with The Night Skinny, as well as the track âMassafghanistanâ, whose music video has amassed two and a half million views. In 2024, the Italian rap prodigy returned with âPaganiniâ, âLâanticristoâ and âEvaâ (featuring Tedua)âthree singles included on his second album I nomi del Diavolo, which this time topped the charts and features other collaborations with Tony Boy and Artie 5ive, Papa V and Noyz Narcos, Ernia, Geolier, Simba La Rue, Fido Guido, and Sfera Ebbasta. At the end of the year, the album was expanded with eight additional tracks and duets with Massimo Pericoloso and Glocky in its new version titled Tutti i nomi del Diavolo. In 2026, Kid Yugi returned to the top of the Italian charts with the album Anche gli eroi muoiono, driven by the hits âPush Itâ with Anna (No. 2), âEroinaâ featuring Tutti Fenomeni (No. 4), and âAmelieâ (No. 3).
