Biography
Italian rapper from Puglia, Kid Yugi was born in Massafra on April 14, 2001, under the name Francesco Stasi. After being a member of the Saints Mob group, he released his first solo single "Grammelot" in 2022 and signed with the Thaurus Music label. Several other tracks followed, including "Sturm und Drang", "King Lear" (with Sosa Priority) and "DEM" (with Artie 5ive and Tony Boy), which were included on his debut album The Globe. Although it achieved a modest position in the Italian charts with an initial 98th place (69th the following year), the conceptual album named after Shakespeare's London theater is, according to its author, a glimpse of "street theater" in modern society. The year 2023, inaugurated with "Minaccia", saw the release of two EPs, EP 5/3 and Quarto di bue, produced with The Night Skinny as the track "Massafghanistan", whose video amassed two and a half million views. In 2024, the Italian rap prodigy returned with "Paganini", "L'anticristo" and "Eva" (with Tedua), three singles included on his second album I nomi del Diavolo, which this time topped the charts and included further collaborations with Tony Boy and Artie 5ive, Papa V and Noyz Narcos, Ernia, Geolier, Simba La Rue, Fido Guido and Sfera Ebbasta. At the end of the year, the album is enhanced by eight tracks and duets with Massimo Pericoloso and Glocky in a new version entitled Tutti i nomi del Diavolo.
