Kid Confucius was an eight-piece Australian band from Sydney, formed in 2001. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2005, featured the singles "Words" and "Skintight", earning critical acclaim from Rolling Stone and significant radio play for "Words". Their third album, The Let Go, was released in October 2008, marking a shift towards a garage soul sound. Notable achievements included winning Best Urban Act at the Australian Dance Music Awards in November 2006 and Best R&B Band at the Australian Urban Music Awards in August 2007.
