Yannick Ouréga was born on September 1, 1990 in Lakota, in the west of Côte d'Ivoire. Alongside his grandparents, who were responsible for his upbringing, and his siblings, he came into contact with gospel music by attending the local parish and its choir. Quickly drawn to singing, Yannick Ouréga impressed with his young maturity and set his sights on a career in the arts. He trained in dance and theater at school, before arriving in France in the early 2000s. In Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), he spent his junior and senior high school years, then learned music theory at the local Conservatoire. Gradually renaming himself Keny Bran Ouréga, he distinguished himself in singing competitions and through his involvement in choirs in Paris, including Gospel pour 100 Voix and New Gospel Family. He then entered the world of music, singing backing vocals and collaborating with numerous international artists, including Julio Iglesias, John Legend and Tina Arena. At the same time, his theatrical training led to roles in musicals, including La naissance in 2006 and Peter Pan in 2011. Dubbed "the little prince of French gospel" by Le Parisien, Keny Bran Ourega takes part in tours by André Rieux and Christophe Maé, then leads the Men of Gospel group as choirmaster. Recordings of his prowess are then recorded live, as on New Gospel Family: Live au Zénith de Paris (2007), Sister Act soundtrack (2013) or Max Zita and the Gospel Voices (2014).
