Biography

Kayno Yesno Slonce was a Bulgarian ethnoambient band formed in 2003. The group initially comprised Veselin Mitev and other musicians who changed over time. Their debut album, Чакрък, was released in June 2004, marking their entry into the music scene. The band's unique blend of traditional Bulgarian music from the Rhodopes region with Eastern styles and elements from Middle Eastern and Medieval European music quickly gained attention. In 2006, they released Elohim neva senzu, followed by an extended version in 2007. Their subsequent albums included Requiem for the White Wind (2014), Kayno Yesno Slonce (2015), and Mare Verborum (2017). The band's music often featured polyrhythmic melodies accompanied by chanting and singing. Kayno Yesno Slonce was praised for their distinctive sound, which often evoked a nostalgic and introspective atmosphere.
