Katrina Krimsky, born Margaret Krimsky Siegmann on March 5, 1938, in St. Simons Island, Georgia, is an American pianist and composer known for her work in contemporary and improvisational music. She received early piano instruction from her mother before studying at the Eastman School of Music under Cécile Staub Genhart, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 1959. In the mid-1960s, she moved to Cologne, Germany, collaborating with notable composers such as Karlheinz Stockhausen and Henri Pousseur. In 1967, she joined the Center of the Creative and Performing Arts Ensemble in Buffalo, participating in the first recording of Terry Riley's "In C" and performing with La Monte Young's Eternal Dream House Ensemble. Krimsky later became a faculty member at Mills College in 1972, establishing herself as a pianist and improviser in San Francisco. She released the album, Four Moons, in 1992.
