Biography
Katra is a Finnish symphonic metal band formed in Tampere in 2005 by lead vocalist Katra Solopuro. The group released its first single, "Sahara", on January 6, 2006, followed by the self-titled debut album, Katra, on February 27, 2007. In November 2007, the band signed with Napalm Records and subsequently released an English-language version of their debut, titled Beast Within, in late 2008. The band performed at the Summer Breeze Open Air festival in Germany in 2009 and opened for Theatre of Tragedy in Mexico City on June 19, 2010. Their third studio album, Out of the Ashes, was released internationally in October 2010. After a period of inactivity, the group resumed activity on February 17, 2023, with the release of the single "Ever After".
