Mata, whose real name is Thomas Matabadal, is a rapper from Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, born on January 29, 2001. He is known for his eclectic musical style, which blends rap, trap and dancehall, and for his contribution to the West Indian urban scene, particularly in popularizing Guadeloupean drill music. Revealed in 2019 with the track"Bonita", Mata confirmed his ascent with the album Surface, before enjoying some success in 2020 thanks to his freestyle"Business rentable", presented during Meryl's Planète Rap, which now accumulates over 700,000 views on YouTube and millions of streams on platforms.
