Kalie Shorr, born July 11, 1994, in Portland, Maine, is an American singer-songwriter. She began writing songs at age six and picked up the guitar at 13, posting covers online and performing with local bands. In 2016, her single "Fight Like a Girl" gained national attention through SiriusXM's The Highway. Shorr released her debut album Open Book in September 2019, which was named one of the best albums of 2019 by The New York Times. She signed with tmwrk records in October 2020 and reissued Open Book: Unabridged. In August 2021, she released her EP I Got Here By Accident, produced by Butch Walker. After a hiatus, Shorr returned to social media with the series âHow I Got Unfamous,â which went viral. She released "Unkiss" in January 2025 and followed it with the EP My Type on her birthday that July.
