Juma Mussa Mkambala, known professionally as Jux, and born on September 1, 1989, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is a singer-songwriter whose music blended R&B, Bongo Flava, and Afrobeats. Jux's interest in music began in his teens when he started rapping. In 2008, he signed with Tanzanian record label A.M Records and transitioned to recording R&B songs. His breakthrough came with hits like "Juu" (2016) featuring Vanessa Mdee and "Regina" with Otile Brown. Jux released his debut album The Love Album in 2019, which included collaborations with artists such as Singah, Nyashinski, and G Nako. The album's lead single "Sugua" (2019) amassed over 10 million views on a video streaming platform. In 2022, he released his sophomore album King Of Hearts, featuring collaborations with Zuchu, Marioo, Mbosso, Terri, and Bien.
