Biography

Judi Richards is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actress born on August 12, 1949, in Toronto. Richards achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop and for being a member of the vocal trio Toulouse. She achieved professional recognition for a career that began after she moved to Montreal and performed as an actress in the television program It's Our Stuff (1969). Richards achieved professional recognition for marrying the humorist Yvon Deschamps in 1971. She achieved professional recognition for being a member of Toulouse between the mid-1970s and 1985. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for receiving a Felix award for the studio recording Taxi pour une nuit blanche (1978) in 1979 and for the studio recording Dangerous Ladies (1979) in 1980. Richards achieved professional recognition for participating with the ensemble in the recording "Les Yeux de la faim" (1985) for the Foundation Québec-Afrique. Her solo recording career began with the debut solo studio recording Touche pas (1994), which received a Felix award for album of the year - country-folk in 1995. Her discography included the studio recording J'fous le camp ! (1997) and the studio recording Du 7e ciel (2007). Richards achieved professional recognition for being the spokesperson for the organization le Chaînon and serving on the board of the Fondation Yvon-Deschamps.
