Biography

Joy Wants Eternity is an American post-rock band formed in 2003 in Seattle, United States. The group consists of Emory Liu, Salvador Huerta, Michael Sterling, Rob Thompson, and Daniel Salo. Their recordings include the EP Must You Smash Your Ears Before You Learn to Listen with Your Eyes (2005). Their debut full-length album, You Who Pretend to Sleep (2007), was subsequently re-released through the Japanese label XTAL Records. Their discography includes the album The Fog Is Rising (2012). The band composed the score for the documentary film Mad Tiger (2015).
