Biography

Jonny McGovern, born July 12, 1976 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American musician and comedian. He began his music career with the release of Dirty Gay Hits in 2003. His breakthrough came with the single "Soccer Practice", which gained significant attention after its music video was released. McGovern followed this success with several albums, including Jonny McGovern Presents: This Is NYC Bitch!: The East Village Mixtape Vol. 1 (2006) and Gays Gone Wild (2007). Notable songs from these releases include "Somethin' for the Fellas (That Like the Fellas)" (2007), which topped Logo's The Click List: Top 10 Videos for over 15 weeks, and "Don't Fall in Love With a Homo (A Song for the Ladies)" (2008). McGovern has also hosted several television shows and podcasts.
