Jonny Chingas was a Mexican American musician born as Raul Medina Garcia in 1940 in Chihuahua. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by electronic and soul music. Garcia achieved professional recognition for forming the ensemble Raul Garcia and Imperials after moving to the United States in the 1950s. His recording career began with the debut studio recording No Hablo Ingles (1980) and the track âSe Me Paroâ (1980). Garcia achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Pachuco Volume 1 (1981). His discography included the track âI Want to Marry Youâ (1981). He achieved professional recognition for the track âPhone Homeâ (1983) which reached number 10 on the UK Disco Top 50 and number 2 on the Dancefloor chart. The track was also number 125 on the Bubbling Under Singles chart. Garcia died in March 1992.
