Born in Helsinki on October 25, 1997, Johannes Brotherus is known both as an actor and as the lead singer of the band Kuumaa since 2016. His father, Antti Ikonen, was keyboardist with the symphonic metal band Stratovarius. In 2013, he made his breakthrough in Pirjo Honkasalo's film Concrete Night, before moving into music. Trained on the violin from the age of three, in 2016 he formed the pop group Kuumaa, which released three albums before its lead singer's solo career. In 2025, Brotherus took part in the 16th season of Vain elämää and released his first single "Autiomaa" in collaboration with his band and singer Behm, which reached No. 4 in Finland. Another song from the show, this time a solo, "Minä toivon", reaches No. 8. The singer then releases his third single , "Vapaus on suuri vankila".
