Jody Marie Gnant (born April 16, 1981) was an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and art gallery owner from Hartland, Wisconsin, who was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. Gnant began her career co-composing and performing for the computer game Treasure Quest (1996). She released the companion album Treasure Quest: The Soundtrack, which included songs co-written by producer Richard Feldman. In 2005, Gnant traded home rent for a recording contract via Kyle MacDonaldâs blog, One red paperclip. This resulted in her 2007 album Pivot, which featured musicians Adrian Goldenthal, Julian Goldenthal, Kris Hill, and Shea Marshall. Gnant received a Best of Phoenix Award in 2006. Gnant appeared on MTVâs Made in 2008 and participated in the Store Buyout project in New York City in 2011. She operated an art gallery in Phoenix, Arizona.
