Biography

Joanna Pacitti is an American singer and actress born on October 6, 1984, in Philadelphia. At age 12, she was selected to star in the twentieth anniversary national tour of the musical Annie. Pacitti signed a five-year recording contract with A&M Records at age 14 and later appeared on the 2003 television series MTV's First Year. Her debut single, “Let It Slide”, was released in May 2006 through Geffen Records. This was followed by her debut studio album, This Crazy Life, which reached number 31 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and sold 16,000 copies. Throughout 2006, she performed as a support act for Sheryl Crow and Nick Lachey. In 2007, Pacitti recorded the song “Out from Under” for the Bratz: Motion Picture Soundtrack. Following her departure from Geffen Records in late 2007, she became a contestant on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009. Although she reached the final stages, she was eventually disqualified from the competition.
