Biography

Born on September 3, 1967 in Montreal (Canada), Joane Labelle is a pop singer from Quebec. She released her debut album , Histoire Sans Retour, in September 1991, on which five songs reached the top 10 of the Quebec charts: " Histoire sans retour ", " J'ai dû partir ", " Où est celui ", " Prends ma main " and a cover of a Gilles Valiquette song from the 1970s, " La Vie en rose ", which spent three weeks at number one. This opus sold over 50,000 copies, earning her a gold disc. It was also released in France and Japan. In August 1994, she released her second album, La Règle du Jeu. The title track, along with " Sans lendemain ", reached #4 on Quebec radio. Three years later came her third opus, L'Autre Chemin, which was largely recorded in France. In 1998, Joane Labelle played the role of Marie-Jeanne in the rock opera Starmania in Paris. She took part in the recording of the live album Starmania - 20ème anniversaire , which was released on October 1 of the same year. In 2002, she launched the children's book Quand Je Suis Dans la Lune . In September 2012, she presents an album of the same name.
