José Clementino de Azevedo Neto, known professionally as J. Neto, was born on August 27, 1960, in Natal, Brazil. He is a singer primarily known for his work in contemporary Christian music (CCM). J. Neto's career began with the release of Ãgua Viva in 1985, followed by Resposta in 1988, which featured collaborations with Shirley Carvalhaes. His breakthrough came with Retorno, released in 1993, under Nancel Produções. Subsequent releases include A Harpa (2001), Conquista (2004), and Deus Sabe de Tudo (2021). He won Singer of the Year in Troféu Talento 2000 and Best Singer at the same award show in 2005.
