Biography

Jessye Belleval is a zouk singer from Gosier, Guadeloupe (France). She has been singing since the age of thirteen, with the great voices of West Indian zouk as her role models, and made a name for herself by singing NJIE's "J'ai trouvé", which earned her 2nd place. After a stint on the French TV show Nouvelle star, she launched her career in 2002 with the hit "An nou voyage", and continued with other songs, before releasing her debut album Je M'Envole in 2007, produced by Jim Rama and Patrick Andrey. In 2010, she released "Mon amour", followed by "Même si" in 2015 and a version of "La bohême " in 2018. One of the leading voices of female zouk for two decades, Jessye Belleval released the albums Partir en Live (2014) and Hors Format (2020), followed by the EP Corps Accord (2023). In 2026, the duet "Anba lalin" with Fred Deshayes, taken from the compilation L'Année du Zouk 2025, reached No. 40 in the SNEP Outre-Mer Songs charts.
