Biography

Jerry Vale, born Gennaro Luigi Vitaliano on 8 July 1932 in the Bronx, New York, was an American singer known for his contributions to jazz and traditional pop music. He began his career in the early 1950s, initially performing in local clubs and venues before signing with RCA Victor Records. His breakthrough came with the release of "I'll Get By" in 1953, which marked the start of a prolific recording career. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, he released numerous albums, including There Goes My Heart (1965), Have You Looked Into Your Heart (1965). His music often featured Italian influences, as seen in albums like The Jerry Vale Italian Album (1971). Jerry Vale passed away on 18 May 2014 in Palm Springs, California.
