A Canadian rapper from Ontario, Jay Swishes stands out for his nonchalant style and eclectic musical universe. Son of a gospel singer and a DJ, he considered a career in basketball, before turning to rap. Present on listening platforms since 2021 with tracks such as "Red", "Good Company" and "Players Club", he made a name for himself the following year with the EP I'm Him and its lead single "Him Duncan". The end of 2022 also saw the release of his first album, I'm Really Him. Based in Brownsville, he worked on his rhymes and sounds, sometimes dominated by piano, preferring to refine his tracks rather than flood the networks. So, after a collaboration with On the Radar in 2023, he reappeared in 2024 with just three tracks, "Trust Issues", "Mona Lisa" and "Pronto". The latter proves to be both a hit and a reward, reaching number 37 on Billboard's Radio Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
