Biography

Jasper van 't Hof, born Jasper on June 30, 1947, in Enschede, Overijssel, Netherlands, is a Dutch jazz pianist and keyboard player. He began studying piano at five and played in school jazz bands. By age 19, van 't Hof was performing at jazz festivals with drummer Pierre Courbois and joined Courbois' early European jazz rock band Association P.C. In 1974, he founded Pork Pie, collaborating with notable musicians including Philip Catherine and Charlie Mariano. Throughout his career, van 't Hof released albums such as Pili Pili (1984), Jakko (1987), and Be In Two Minds (1988). He is best known for his solo piano playing, highlighted by the album Solo Piano.
