Biography

Jam 9, a Japanese pop band originating from Shizuoka, Hamamatsu, was formed on 13 March 2003 by its founding members, including MC Prince.YK, MC Giz ‘Mo, and DJ Mocky. The group initially performed in local music bars and released independent recordings before signing with Dreamusic, Inc. Their debut major‑label album, Kizuna, was issued on 20 July 2011 and peaked at number 77 on the Oricon album chart; earlier releases such as ROOKIE PLAYERS (26 August 2009), 家族 (23 June 2010), 初雪 (27 October 2010), and 花束~幸せにしたくて~ (27 April 2011) laid the groundwork for their evolving sound. Notable singles include "チャイム~俺たちの絆~" (19 January 2011), "花火" (18 July 2012), "糸しきひと" (4 December 2012), "ハシリダセ" (27 May 2015), "ヒカリ" (16 May 2018), "日本平" (21 March 2018), and "深海" (30 March 2022).
