Biography

Born Isabela Yolanda Moner on 10 July 2001 in Clevland, Ohio to a Peruvian mother and American father, the bilingual popstar and actor Isabella Moner cut her teeth on Nickelodeon television series 100 Things to Do Before High School from 2014 to 2016. She scored a breakout song in 2018 the self-penned "I'll Stay," created for the comedy film Instant Family. She has been known professionally as Isabela Merced since 2019 when she decided to change her name in honour of her late grandmother. She kicked off her music career proper the following year with debut single "Papi" and 2020 EP The Better Half of Me, establishing herself as a bright new voice in pop. She continued to expand her acting portfolio with a starring role in Hannah Marks's 2024 movie Turtles All the Way Down and season two of hit TV show The Last of Us that same year. Musically, she amassed a string of further singles included 2022 Kayfex collaboration "AGONÍA"
