Iannis Xenakis is an extraordinary composer, born of a mathematical background and assistant to the architect Le Corbusier. A Romanian of Greek origin who became a French citizen, his " Metastasis " brought a new way of understanding and composing music using mathematics. Laser, computer, programming and mathematics in composition, Iannis Xenakis is without doubt the most revolutionary composer of the 20th century. An architect and composer, he is the creator of massive and stochastic music in the tradition of Pierre Schaeffer's musique concrète. " Metastasis ", the ST series, Polytope, Eonta ses Pléiades for six percussionists, Terretektorh for 88 musicians in the audience are the most significant and representative creations of the Xenakis spirit.
