Hulvey is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer who performs in the Christian hip-hop genre. Born Christopher Michael Hulvey on January 13, 1999, in Brunswick, Georgia, he relocated to Atlanta after dropping out of college to focus on his music career. He spent the following years working at a local supermarket before signing with Reach Records in 2019. The EP Prelude, his first release for the label, appeared in 2020 and was followed by a second extended play titled BRKNHRT later that year. During this time, Hulvey landed songwriting credits on Lecrae's tenth studio album Restoration and collaborated with fellow Christian artists 116 Clique and Jordan Feliz. Released in 2021, his studio debut Christopher reached number 8 on Billboard's Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart and number 19 on the Rap Albums chart. COMA, his third EP, saw the light a few months later. Subsequent singles such as "Beautiful," "Have Me," and "Closer," all released in 2022, showcased Hulvey's lyrical evolution while establishing him as one of the fastest-rising stars in the Christian rap scene. In 2023, his single "Walk" entered the Hot Christian Songs Top 50 at number 33. He worked with Forrest Frank on âNo Longer Boundâ and âAltar,â with the latter later becoming one of the key songs leading into his next album cycle. He also released âUsed By Youâ and âLove Like Thatâ in 2023 and issued the EP Perry Lane Pack before launching his first headline run, The Beautiful Tour. In 2024, Hulvey kept expanding that material with âAll For Youâ and âTrue,â then revisited âAltarâ with a remix featuring Ciara. His second studio album, CRY, followed on Reach Records in September 2024, bringing together 17 tracks and framing its title around Communion, Reflection, and Yearning. Hulvey supported the album with continued touring activity, including the All For You Tour, and CRY won Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year at the 2025 GMA Dove Awards. In 2025, he moved toward a more urgent, end-times-themed sound with âBring Heaven Down,â âRain on Me,â âJesus Is Lord,â and the three-track EP He Will Return. He also appeared on Brandon Lakeâs âRight in the Middleâ from King of Hearts. In 2026, Hulvey announced that his next album would be his final project under Reach Records, then released âRooftopâ with nobigdyl., âAutomaticâ with Connor Price, and âDave.â These tracks led into his third album, Could Be Tonight, a 20-track release featuring guests including Torey DâShaun, Kijan Boone, nobigdyl., Connor Price, and Zahriya Zachary.
