Frank Jorge Lopes Jr., known professionally as Hobo Johnson, is an American rapper from California. At 15, Lopes began performing music and hip-hop, adopting his stage name while living in his car. In December 2016, he released live recordings on YouTube subtitled "Live from Oak Park" which gained him significant attention. In 2017, after releasing the album The Rise of Hobo Johnson (2016), Lopes signed to Reprise Records and won four Sacramento Area Music Awards. The band's video for "Peach Scone" collected millions of views, leading to their album charting at number 11 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. In 2019, Hobo Johnson released his major-label debut album The Fall of Hobo Johnson, which included the single "Typical Story" featured in the video game NHL 20. Lopes released several albums and singles between 2021 and 2024, including The Revenge of Hobo Johnson and Hobo Johnson Alienates His Fanbase.
