Heavysaurus is a German heavy metal band founded in 2017, adapting the concept of the Finnish band Hevisaurus. The members are Mr. Heavysaurus (vocals), Milli Pilli (keyboard), Riffi Raffi (guitar), Muffi Puffi (bass) and Komppi Momppi (drums). The band combines heavy metal with child-friendly lyrics and performs in dinosaur costumes to appeal to a young audience. Their debut album Rock'n'Rarr is released in 2018 and includes the single 'Heavysaurus Tag (Dinolied)', a metal version of the well-known children's song 'So ein schöner Tag' by Donikkl. The album is well received and cements their reputation in the children's metal scene. Heavysaurus performs at various festivals and events, including the Werner-Rennen 2018 and Kieler Woche, and wows audiences with energetic live shows. The band has been recognized for their innovative combination of heavy metal and child-friendly entertainment, which has earned them a growing fan base. Their best-known songs include "Rarrr", "Dinos spielen..." and "Heavy Twister". The album Pommesgabel is released in 2024. The album climbs to number 11 in the German charts. At the beginning of 2026, Heavysaurus released another album, Metal, and achieved a top 10 position in Germany for the first time at number 9.
