Biography

Hello Dave is an American rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in the early 1990s at Eastern Illinois University by Mike Himebaugh. The group initially played small venues and campus events. Their debut album, Hello Dave, was released in 1993 and featured notable tracks such as "Melissa" and "No Way". In subsequent years, Hello Dave released several albums, including West (1995), which included songs like "Golden" and "Mountains", 16 Tons (1998), and Wicked Revelry, (2000). Hello Dave has performed with various artists including Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Blues Traveler, and Keith Urban. In 2010, the band released Chicago Twang, which introduced a new sound incorporating elements of twang and bluegrass.
