Biography

Hans Hassler, born in 1945 in Chur, Switzerland, is a Swiss accordionist known for his versatility across various musical genres. Growing up in a family with strong ties to folk music, Hassler received his first accordion at age seven and began playing in local ensembles. His early training included lessons from Kurt Heusser and Hugo Noth. Hassler's solo career began in 2007 with the release of sehr schnee sehr wald sehr, followed by subsequent albums on Intakt Records. In 2018, he received the Innerschweizer Kulturpreis for his creative contributions across various musical genres and collaborations with theater and music artists in central Switzerland.
