Hajime Tachibana is a musician, graphic designer, and filmmaker born on October 28, 1951, in Tokyo. Drawing on techno-pop, new wave, and rock, he has developed a unique style that bridges music and design. In 1975, he formed the band Plastics with Toshio Nakanishi and others, performing as a guitarist before making his solo debut in 1982 with the album âHâ (1982). He followed this with âHmâ (1983), âMr.TECHIE & MISS KIPPLEâ (1984), âTAIYOã»SUNâ (1986), and âBEAUTY & HAPPYâ (1987), among others, and is known for tracks such as âH (THEME FROM CLUB FOOT)â (1982), âROBINâS EYE VIEW OF CONVERSATIONâ (1982), and âCHICKEN CONSOMMEâ (1986). He has also created numerous works as a designer and won the ADC Awardâs top prize in 1991. He continues to be active in both music and art today, having released the track âLetâs Just Think About Ourselves (Remixed by Cornelius)â in 2026.
