Hail Mary Mallon was an American hip-hop group active between 2009 and 2018, consisting of Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz. The trio's name is a reference to Typhoid Mary. Aesop Rock and Rob Sonic first connected through the New York City hip hop scene in the mid-to-late 1990s and later became label mates on El-Pâs independent hip-hop label Definitive Jux. Hail Mary Mallon's debut album, Are You Gonna Eat That?, was released digitally on May 3, 2011, by Rhymesayers Entertainment, following the single "Smock" in April. Their second and final album, Bestiary, was released in 2014, preceded by the single "Jonathan". On November 11, 2018, Rob Sonic announced via Twitter that there would not be another Hail Mary Mallon album.
