The Japanese electronic and hip‑hop duo group_inou was formed in 2003 by members imai and cp. Their early work, including the single "BPA" released on 2006‑03‑22, introduced their blend of electronic beats and rap lyricism, leading to the debut EP foods on 2006‑09‑27 under their independent label GAL. In 2007, they expanded their discography with the remix album System Kitchen (2007‑01‑17), followed by the studio album FAN on 2008‑04‑09. The group continued to release ESCORT (2009‑04‑22), _ * (2010‑06‑02), DAY (2012‑10‑10), and MAP (2015‑07‑01), each reflecting a progression toward more polished production and broader thematic content.
