Greyhounds are an American musical duo from Austin, Texas, consisting of keyboardist Anthony Farrell and guitarist Andrew Trube. The pair began collaborating in 1999 after Farrell responded to Trube's ad for a keyboardist in the LA Weekly. They initially toured and recorded in various locations before settling in Tyler, Texas. Their early songwriting efforts led to performances by musicians such as Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. In 2004, Greyhounds released their debut full-length album Liberty, which was written at Liberty Hall in Tyler and produced by Stanton Moore and Robert Mercurio of Galactic. In 2009, Greyhounds opened American Idol Taylor Hicks' tour and in the late 200s and early 2010s, they were part of JJ Grey & Mofro's touring band. The duo signed a three-album contract with Ardent Records in 2013, releasing Accumulator in April 2014. Notable releases include Change Of Pace (2016), Primates (2020), and the collaborative project Greybird (2023) with Tim Crane and Sam Patlove from T Bird and the Breaks.
