Biography
Gravewürm, a black and death metal band from Clarion, Pennsylvania, was formed in 1990 under the name Dominion. The band released several demo tapes early on, including Morbid Death and Possessed By Darkness. Their first album, Ancient Storms Of War, was released in 2000. In 2001, Gravewürm participated in a split EP titled Maximum Metal Mayhem / On the Wings of Death with Brazilian band Apocalyptic Raids. The group continued to release albums throughout the 2000s and 2010s, including Funeral Empire (2009) and Abyss Sorcery (2014). In late 2015, their eleventh studio album, Doomed to Eternity, was released. This album featured the final performance of their longtime drummer Jim "Sadist" Konya, who passed away later that year following a stroke.
