Gracia Cabrera Gómez, also known as Gracia Montes, born on March 1, 1936, in Lora del RÃo, Spain, was a Spanish singer known for her contributions to Andalusian copla and flamenco music. Her debut came at the age of 17 with the theatrical show "La copla por bandera" in Madrid. In the mid-1950s, Montes signed with Columbia Records and released her first recordings, including "La luna y el rÃo" and "¿Será una rosa?". She appeared in films such as Muerte de un ciclista (1955) and Historias de la radio (1955), where she performed songs like "Amor, ¿por qué no viniste, amor?". She collaborated with notable figures such as Pastora Pavón and José Brageli. Her notable songs include "Sevilla lleva el compás" and "Tengo miedo". Montes passed away on June 2, 2022.
