Gonzalo Genek is the stage name of Gonzalo Urresti Araujo, a Peruvian rapper, singer, and songwriter whose career charts a rise from early indie singles to broader Latin collabs and festival stages. Born in Lima on May 29, 1992, he introduced himself with tracks like âEllaâ (2013) and moved into long-form with his debut album Licor Amor & Jazz (2015), showcasing melodic rap and R&B-leaning hooks on cuts such as âNo Puedo.â Over the next few years he alternated solo releases and featuresâamong them âLa Primera Vez,â âA Veces,â and âNos Vamosâ in 2020âgradually expanding his footprint on digital platforms.
