Glup! is a Chilean pop-rock band formed in 1996 by Koko Stambuk, Marcel Molina, Rodrigo Stambuk, and Vid Stambuk. The group initially started as an electronic music project called Merlin before evolving into Glup!. In 1998, they released their debut maxi-single "Freebola" and began working on their first album with producer Cristián Heyne. Their breakthrough came in 1999 when their song "Quiero que me quieran" was featured in the telenovela Algo está cambiando, leading to a performance at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. The band released three albums: 1999 (1999), Welcome Polinesia (2000), and Glup (2002). Notable songs include "Campo de frutillas" and a cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here". In 2003, the band disbanded. Glup! reunited in 2011 for a series of concerts and again in 2019 with the release of the single "ChÃngale".
