Biography
Globus is an American epic music and symphonic rock project led by composer and producer Yoav Goren. Formed to bring the trailer music of Immediate Music to a wider audience, the group made its live debut at Wembley in London in 2006 and released its early album, Epicon, later that year, featuring drummer Mark Richardson and guest vocalist Scott Ciscon. Their next album, Break from This World (2011), included contributions from Anneke van Giersbergen, who also co-wrote lyrics for "Mighty Rivers Run." After a period of reduced activity, Globus returned in 2018 and released a cover of John Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth" in 2020, followed by the singles "You and I" and the album Cinematica (2022). Regarded as an early pioneer of epic music, Globus blends orchestral arrangements with symphonic rock, world music, and symphonic metal, and several of its compositions have been featured in film trailers and promotional campaigns.
