Biography
Girlpool was an American indie rock band from Los Angeles that was active between 2013 and 2022. The ensemble was founded by friends Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad and released its debut eponymous EP Girlpool (2014) through Wichita Recordings. Their debut studio album, Before the World Was Big, was released (2015) to critical acclaim. After signing with Anti- Records, they released the studio albums Powerplant (2017) and What Chaos Is Imaginary (2019), the latter of which featured a shift in Tucker's vocal range following his transition. Their final studio recording, Forgiveness, was released (2022) before the duo announced an indefinite break later that year. Since the disbandment, Tividad has released the studio album Gossip (2024) under the name Harmony, and Tucker released the solo recording Paw (2025).
