Geoffrey Philip Simon, born on 3 July 1946 in Adelaide, Australia, is a conductor. He studied under notable conductors such as Herbert von Karajan and Rudolf Kempe, and won the first John Player International Conductors' Award. His career began with recordings for various labels, including works by Tchaikovsky, Respighi, and Smetana. He conducted with prominent orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He served as music director for the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Sacramento Symphony, and Orquestra Simfònica de Balears "Ciutat de Palma". His recordings, particularly those on his own label Cala Records, attracted international interest.
