Gary Gamutan Granada (born 1960) is a Filipino rock and folk rock singer-songwriter, composer, poet, and anarchist activist from Maco, Davao de Oro. Granada learned the ukulele at his father's insistence and proficiently played the guitar. He worked as a tutor at the University of the Philippines, a broadcaster, and a voice talent. Granada wrote topical compositions and advertising jingles. In 1998, the song âMabuti Pa Silaâ won the Grand Prize at the Metropop Song Festival. Granadaâs recording career featured the albums Pagsamba at pakikibaka (1989), Sa pagitan ng ngayon at kailanman (1994), and the musical Sino ka ba, Jose Rizal (1996). He composed tribute songs for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel basketball team, including âGinebrang Ginebraâ. In 2017, Granada and Mariano Kilates wrote the City Hymn of Legazpi, âLegazpi Ngonyanâ. Granada served as a board member for several organizations.
