Biography

Gary Brewer and the Kentucky Ramblers, a family band from West Point, Kentucky, formed in 1980. The group is known for their fusion of American-roots music styles called "Brewgrass." Their first album, Thinking of Home, was released in 1986. Brewer founded SGM Records in 1988, which has released numerous albums by the band and solo projects from its members. In 2020, the band celebrated its 40th anniversary with the release of 40th Anniversary Celebration. The album spent 16 weeks at Number 1 and 72 weeks in the top 5 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart, also appearing on the Billboard 2021 all-genre Top Current Albums Sales year-end chart. Following this release, they collaborated with Jim Lauderdale for the single "Pass Along the Good". In April 2022, the group signed with Bob Frank Entertainment for global distribution through The Orchard.
