Garry Garikai Munashe Mapanzure, born on June 18, 1998, in Harare, Zimbabwe, was an Afropop singer-songwriter. Raised in a pastoral family, Mapanzure discovered his singing talent in church. He released his debut single "Wapunza" in 2017. He subsequently won the emPawa Africa challenge created by Mr Eazi in 2018, becoming the first Zimbabwean to be selected and led to the release of his song "Slow". In March 2020, Mapanzure released his first EP Sushi Season: The First under London-based record label Runabeat Music. He died on October 13, 2023, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Masvingo, Zimbabwe.
