Galya Bisengalieva, a Kazakh-British violinist born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music. Her career began with solo performances across Europe, USA, India, Turkey, Brazil, and her debut at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, where she received the Revelation Award by the Music Critics Association of Argentina. Bisengalieva's first EP, EP One, was released on NOMAD Music Productions in 2018. She has collaborated with notable artists such as Steve Reich, Laurie Spiegel, and Terry Riley, and her work includes contributions to Radioheadâs A Moon Shaped Pool and Frank Oceanâs Blond. Bisengalieva leads the London Contemporary Orchestra and has premiered works by composers like Edmund Finnis and Shiva Feshareki.
