Biography
Gabriele Poso is an Italian percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer born on October 22, 1978, in Lecce. He began studying percussion in Rome in 1998 and relocated to San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2001 to attend the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Poso collaborated with producer Osunlade and released his debut solo studio album, From the Genuine World, in 2008. His discography included the recordings Roots of Soul (2012) and Invocation (2014). He performed at the Mod Club Theatre in Toronto, the MTV World Festival in Istanbul, and the One Day Off Festival in Belgium. Poso also contributed to the recordings Rock with You (2002) by DJ Jazzy Jeff and Rebirth (2009) by Osunlade. His later work included the 2017 album The Languages of Tambores.
