G4 Boyz are a New York rap duo from Staten Island made up of brothers Ice Baby and Buggy, who are of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent. They began rapping as teenagers and appeared in XXLâs The Break series in 2011, when their early records included âBlizzard,â âTest Our Diamondsâ with Waka Flocka Flame, âMichael Jackson,â and âI Do Meâ with Lil Wayne. Their 2010s output mixed trap, luxury-rap imagery, and African cultural references, moving through projects such as Control Your Jealousy (2015) and The African Plug (2017), plus singles including âToma,â âPatek Philippe,â and the 2018 remix of âPatek Philippeâ featuring Tory Lanez. In 2020, G4 Boyz leaned further into UK drill and transatlantic rap with âLocal Scammerâ featuring G4choppa, its remix with Chief Keef, âPradaâ featuring G4choppa, and a âPradaâ remix with DreamDoll. They continued in that direction with the EP S.C.A.M (2021), âHmmâ remixes featuring Jay Bahd, OâKenneth, Blaqbonez, and Bad Boy Timz, and the 2023 album Bring 2 Forms of I.D. Their 2024 album Glitch Boyz expanded their Afro-drill and Asakaa links through tracks including âGhana Girl (Asakaa Mix)â with City Boy, Skyface SDW, and Kwaku DMC. In 2025, they released âAzul,â followed in 2026 by âAzul (UK Remix)â with NSG and âAzul (Remix)â with Mavo, which peaked at number 42 on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart.
