Heartless Bastards is an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. Formed in 2003 by singer and guitarist Erika Wennerstrom, the group signed with Fat Possum Records in 2004. The ensemble released its debut studio album, Stairs and Elevators, in 2005. This was followed by the recordings All This Time (2006) and The Mountain (2009), the latter of which incorporated country music elements including banjo and mandolin. In 2012, the ensemble issued the album Arrow through Partisan Records. The group's recording history also included the studio albums Restless Ones (2015) and A Beautiful Life (2021), the latter of which was released on Wennerstrom's label Sweet Unknown Records. The bandâs music has been featured in several television programs, including the song "Sway" in the series Friday Night Lights and the track "Only for You" in the series Suits.
