Biography
Delta Spirit emerged in 2005 in Long Beach, California, as a kind of alternative Americana. In other words, a blend of traditional American sounds, country, folk and rock, with an alternative twist. The band produced their debut album, Ode to Sunshine, in 2007. The album was finally released on Rounder Records in 2008. Delta Spirit returns in 2010 with the inspired History from Below. Released in June, History from Below made a timid appearance on the Billboard charts, while Delta Spirit paid its first visit to the old continent in autumn 2010. Soberly titled Delta Spirit, the band's second album also attracts attention despite its less brilliant content. Released in September 2014 in the U.S. and November 2014 in Europe, Into the Wide is a definite artistic success.
