Biography

English guitarist and singer Chris Rea is best known for his 1980s hits "On the Beach" and "Josephine", and the albums The Road to Hell (1989) and Auberge (1991), No. 1 in his home country. After surviving a successful operation for pancreatic cancer in 2001, Chris Rea turned his attention to blues and jazz, as evidenced by the impressive 11-CD box set Blue Guitars, released in 2005.
